The Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility produced this short video about the environmental and health risks at Hanford. Heart of America NW's executive director, Gerry Pollet, is featured, along with HOANW's 2004 I-297 campaign to protect Washington from becoming a national radioactive waste dump. There is some really great footage in here! They've done a good job of getting a broad range of people involved in this film and covering the history and clean-up that is going on.
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't realize that the N reactor was the prototype for Chernobyl. I'm gald they had the foresight to shut it down in '86.
